5th Grade Bucket Drummers
Save the date!
Bucket Drummers will be playing for the pre-game show at the Canton Charge basketball game at the Canton CIvic Center on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 7:00pm. They will perform somewhere between 6:30-6:40. More details coming soon!





Lifetouch is now taking pre-orders for your child's yearbook online! Standard yearbooks are $16 again this year and additional enhancements are available. Regular order forms will come home soon for those who would like to wait.

5th Grade Band meets from 7:30am-8:15am at FMS on designated lesson day. Be sure your student has their instrument and book and knows what day is their lesson day.

Old CDs Needed (school appropriate)
Mrs. Best & Mrs. Scheetz are now collecting old cds for future art and S.T.E.A.M. projects.
There will be a container outside of the art room for students to drop them in. 
Cds will be collected until Christmas break!

Student forms can all be found online here on our elementary page. Forms will not be sent home unless requested. Look to the left and click on the FORMS link. Forms are PDF format so they can be filled out on the computer and printed, the Free and Reduced lunch form will need to be printed and filled out.  ALL FORMS ARE DUE BACK THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. Hard copies are available upon request, please ask your teacher or the office before your student starts school. 



Attention FES Parents....
If you drop your students off in the morning, please make sure that they are ready to go. Other parents are waiting behind you and many need to get to work. We can't have the flow of traffic backed up. 
Students arriving after 9:00am are tardy and will need signed in at the office.

We will no longer be sending home Interim Reports at the halfway point of the nine weeks. Students in grades 4 and 5 will be able to access their grades through HAC. Please contact the office if you need your child's login information sent home again.






Report Cards
First Nine Week report cards went home November 3rd. Report cards for students with unpaid workbook fees from previous school years will be held the first nine weeks and will continue to be held until past fees are paid.  Future report cards may also be held for students with large lunch balances. Parent Internet Viewer will remain blocked until fees are paid. Families currently receiving free/reduced lunches are still responsible for any prior outstanding balance. Because we understand that this can be overwhelming, payments, large or small are appreciated and encouraged on any outstanding lunches and/or past instructional fees. Please contact the office if you have any questions or if you would like another application for the free/reduced lunch program.

THERE WILL BE NO WORKBOOK FEES FOR THE 2017-2018 SCHOOL YEAR! 
Invoices will continue to be sent home for students with outstanding balances from previous school years. Please contact the office if you feel there has been an error, otherwise fees may be paid by check or cash. We appreciate any effort made and will accept payments of any amount on the balance. If sending payment with your student, please be sure to seal it in an envelope with your child's name and "School Fees" written on the outside. Past due fees will result in the school holding your child's report cards and Parent View being blocked. 
Did you know?
Unpaid fees follow your child throughout their school years and will have an effect on their participation in their graduation ceremony.



Getting Logged In To See Grades
 If your child has unpaid charges or fees from previous years, you may lose access to online grade viewing until those fees are paid.
We will be using a new program this year for parents and students to view their grades online. Home Access Center (HAC). Letters will go home as your child's grade level is set up for viewing. Stay tuned! :)



Parent Pick-up

PLEASE WRITE NOTES!
When your child normally rides the bus and is going to be Parent pick-up, PLEASE send a note for the teacher in the morning. This will help avoid unnecessary interruptions to the classrooms with phone calls from the office. If there is an emergency and the decision for parent pick-up is not made until later in the day, you may be asked to come into the office to pick up your child. This is for the safety of your children as well as  orderly dismissals. If a call about a change in transportation must be made, PLEASE call the school office BY 1:00 p.m. Messages left for teachers after that time may not be seen before parent pick-up. Thank you!
K-2 students are picked up AT THE SIDEWALK to the left side of the building (library side) Park in the lot and WALK UP TO THE SIDEWALK to pick up your child. Please do not wave them over to the car. Lets keep everyone safe from cars pulling out of the lot.
3-5 students are picked up along the sidewalk to the right side of the building where the staff park. Pull into the line using the last entrance (marked deliveries) and wait in line as parents pull along the sidewalk and pick up their children.
